Leadership in a Crisis: Keeping Mission and Core Values in Mind

Hot Dog Marketing’s second blogcast is out NOW!

Part two of the Leadership in a Crisis series with Leadership in a Crisis: Keeping Mission and Core Values in Mind. This episode is all about how you can stay true to your mission, vision, and core values even as the outside world is going through a huge change.

Your business is being affected in ways you weren’t able to anticipate, but there are ways you can respond and come out of it even better than you were before. One important aspect is setting an example of successful leadership. Not just to your employees, but to the community as well.  As a business owner, you need to be a leader to your clients, help to meet their needs, and show them that you really do care about their wellbeing.

If you aren’t anchored by a true understanding of what your business is about, it can be easy to feel lost and even stressed out in times of crisis. Now is not the time to jump into emergency mode and throw all your company values to the side. It’s essential your company continues to keep in mind your core values, mission, and overall vision so you can show everyone what you are about, how you do business, and how achieving your goals will impact the world around you.

A clear mission statement helps anchor you to your value and shows customers what they can expect when doing business with you. Having these things set in stone helps customers understand the quality of service they are getting by working with you.

In this video, you will learn the difference between a mission statement, vision, and core values, as well as how you can find and implement these within your company. As we continue to connect with you all, we hope these videos are helpful. We are working to ensure we all get through this pandemic together and to reveal how we can come out the other side better off!
