Client Success Manager

Hi, I’m Davaughn a Client Success Manager here at Hot Dog Marketing. I love people of different specialties coming together to accomplish a shared goal. For example, while I appreciate the intimacy a book provides a reader with its author – I’ve always loved all the coordination and compromise it takes to make a film. One movie is a million great ideas coming together to communicate one story. Additionally, I lean towards team sports. Basketball is my favorite sport and the Lakers, and the Gamecocks are my favorite teams. However, I will watch a pickup game with the same enthusiasm! My position here is like the role of film director or point guard. I work with a very diverse group with our clients’ growth as the shared end goal and I get to be the connecting piece.

If I am not in the office, I am enjoying time with my family. We are a five-team pack made up of three humans (Me, my wife, and our daughter), a pup named Jack, and a hamster named Chewy. We enjoy live music, hitting the beach, and of course, movie nights. Chewy is cool, he’s big on late night exercises. Jack mostly enjoys napping, though he’s picked up a new fly-hunting hobby. My daughter is great at providing us all the elementary-style jokes that I honestly never grew out of enjoying. My wife is my best friend and may secretly be the best snack selector of all time.

Prior to my position here at Hot Dog Marketing, I’ve held positions in the non-profit sector, hospitality, and local media. Through freelance video production, I’ve worked as a production assistant for CBS Sports, the University of South Carolina, and the Indie Grits Film Festival.

Working under Fredrick Joseph for the Black Panther Challenge, I was able to be a part in the largest GoFund Me campaign in history. The campaign raised nearly $1M and helped more than 75,000 kids to see the movie. Outside of my overstated passion for movies, this opportunity was my first in fundraising and provided insight to how I could use my skillset to see positive change in my community.

The experience I gained helps me connect with business leaders across industries. I am excited to hear about the problem their business is here to solve and eager to roll up my sleeves to help cross that finish line!

What is the most valuable thing you have learned in your work life so far?

Focus on making someone’s day easier.

Two truths and a lie:

  • I have lived in 12% of the states in the country!
  • I won free tickets to see Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, and Kings of Leon for free!
  • I studied abroad in Tokyo for a semester.
